Antonov owned by Haftar militias lands in Sirte
The Spokesman for the Sirte Al-Jufra Operations Room, Abdel Hadi Drah, confirmed the landing of an Antonov
military cargo plane, which belongs to Haftar’s militia groups, at Al-Qardabiya base in Sirte on Sunday.
He said that the landing of the plane signifies the continuation of a military build-up on the part of Haftar,
regardless of the announcement of a ceasefire, which he promised to adhere to once again.
Drah announced that Haftar’s mercenaries were besieging the neighborhood of Bu Hadi in Sirte and he
called on the Qadhadfa tribe, which resides in the area, to convince its sons to withdraw from the illegal
Haftar militias, pointing out that the region was now in a state of severe tension, with the possibility
of Haftar losing control of the situation, as he put it.
